I wasn't sure what to expect from CES but it has so far totally exceeded my expectations. The initial visit with the Panasonic executive team has been a wonderous experience. As they have invited Stacy and myself as their guest to play with their equipment and understand the philosophy of the Living in High Definition, we have been introduced to the LiHD Family, The Calandros.
They have integrated the Panasonic electronics product into their lives and we got to see it first hand. The kids are using the technology, the family is creating stories and sharing their time together with "real time" albums of photos and videos. They have shared their experiences and create content for themselves and the LiHD online community.
What has impressed me the most is the incredible commitment that the Panasonic management has made to this program. By listening and watching how the families are using the technology, they improve and innovate according to the true needs of the end user. No assumptions are made and they delight in the human interactions they are able to initiate through this program.
What it comes down to is they have rediscovered that the art of storytelling is something that holds us all together as families and as people. It is a basic concept that goes back to the beginning of mankind.
Sharing is the fiber of our being and without that we are alone..and because we are now using technology to share, we are beginning to see how wonderful the connectivity makes us all feel!
Walking through the halls of CES and seeing the vast number of booths and electronics, the core theme is connectivity and access to technology. Intel is promoting WiMAX which is the ultimate access of wireless, Microsoft has the Ford Flex outfitted with all the latest electronics and on board computer.
Everyone has something that is making it easier, faster and accessible - anywhere, anytime.
Sounds amazing, Vicki!
